This is an idea I had in my head for a few days. Its a comic about superheroes and supervillains who fight for the entertainment of the public. It's like being a celebrity or whatever. This first post is about heroes, ones without powers.
Technically, anyone can become a hero. Anyone who does not have powers and passes the legal requirements can become a hero. There are differing age requirements to become a hero, but the earliest one can start is at age 10. Students are allowed to test out of school if the fill out a Hero-In-Training or Sidekick-In-Training form, which must be signed by legal gaurdians, a legal Hero/Superhero, and the student. Once they pass the test, they may work under the guidance of a Hero/Superhero. After passing there Hero License test, they will become official Heroes and will be ranked by the government.
Heroes, Supers, Sidekicks, and those in training all receive money and funding from the government. They'll be given salaries based on their rank and other perks like custom-made suits, insurance, and special privacy protection laws.
Heroes of certain ranks are assigned to certain crimes. Lower ranked Heroes are usually tasked with taking down alley thugs, patrolling the city, protecting citizens from low to medium level threats, and then some. They may also fight against low ranked Villains.
Medium ranked Heroes can do everything low ranked Heroes can and more. Medium ranked Heroes often work alongside the police. They're allowed to arrest people as well as being able to fight against Supervillains and Monsters.
High ranked Heroes can do all of that and even more. They may do hero-work without being summoned by the government. They are also pardoned from most crimes/damages done while doing hero-work.
Heroes climb through the ranks based on hero performance and through hero exams. They are also ranked by popularity but this is seperate from Hero Rankings.
---To be continued---
I know this sounds like a ripoff of MHA, but bear with me.
